    According to the CDC, 71.8 percent of patients between the ages of 50 and 75 had been screened for colorectal cancer (CRC) as of 2021. But despite this success, much work still needs to be done. That’s why Dr. Charles Turck speaks with Drs. John Russell and Richard Wender about how strategies like effective patient education, assessment of barriers, and reminder systems can help increase CRC screening rates in the primary care setting. Dr. Russell is the Director of FMRP and Chairman of Family Medicine at Jefferson Health in Abington, Pennsylvania, and Dr. Wender is Chair of and a Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Penn Medicine.
